Islay Cottages - Fieldgate Cottage
Fieldgate Cottage is a 3 bedroom detached cottage on Islay, to the right of the terrace row of 4 cottages.
Downstairs is a spacious lounge, large kitchen/ dining area and also a twin bedroom. In the lounge there is an open fire, as well as an electric storage heater, satellite TV and DVD for your comfort.
The kitchen has a electric cooker, a microwave, a washing machine along with a fridge freezer and ample cupboard space. If you require the use of a tumble drier (for which there is a small charge), there is one available in the laundry room over at the main house about 50 metres away.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with a shower above the bath. The bedrooms have electric convector heaters controlled by thermostats, while the bathroom has an electric fan heater and a heated towel rail. We can provide you with a cot and a high chair if you require them in this cottage.
Outside there are picnic tables where you can have a BBQ and also a garden seat at the front of the cottage to while your day away. There is also a large grassy area surrounding the cottages for the children to play in safely.
Whilst Lossit Cottage and Shepherd's Cottage are quality assessed 3 star by VisitScotland, Fieldgate Cottage is furnished and equipped to the same high standards set by VisitScotland. This you can see by viewing the images of the cottages.
Included in the tariff is your fuel for the fire and we supply your bed linen and kitchen towels, but not your personal towels unless you are flying in. As of 3rd January 2009, electricity will be charged per meter reading, at unit cost at the time of your holiday.
There is ample parking for your cars in the car park adjacent to the cottage. Dogs or any pets are no longer accepted and we request there is no smoking within the cottages.
