If you are looking for self-catering accommodation on Islay then read on. Machir Cottage at Islay Cottages has two bedrooms and can sleep up to four people. When viewed from the car park, this cottage is the second from the right in a terrace row of four cottages and was originally used as the byre for the minister’s cattle. Upstairs you will find a double bedroom and twin bedroom that share a bathroom.

Downstairs, the large sitting room has Freeview TV for enjoying an evening film and plenty of games that can help bring everyone together for some fun. You will also have plenty of books to choose from if you would like to curl up on the comfy sofa or relax next to the fire.
The open-plan kitchen-diner allows the chef of your family to enjoy some company whilst preparing meals and is a great place to enjoy some breakfast before heading out for a long walk. Your cottage is named after one of Islay’s beautiful beaches so it’s essential you pay a visit during your stay!
