Our Highland holiday cottages

Islay Cottages offers a choice of holiday accommodation options, here on the beautiful isle of Islay. We have accommodation in both the village of Bowmore and rural Kilchoman. Choose between Dundonald Cottage (sleeps 4) and Tarbert House (sleeps 8) in Bowmore, the main village on Islay. Or stay at Kilchoman House (sleeps 12) or our cluster of Kilchoman Cottages (sleeping up to 4 or 6 per cottage), close to Machir Bay.

Brilliant base to explore Islay! We were quite comfortable and the history of the buildings made it even cozier. The cottage contained everything we needed, and then some. Be warned that you’ll want to buy bottled water, as the tap water is peaty/brown. Great communication, well-appointed. Highly recommended!
